THREE DESIGNS REINTERPRET LIGHT, MISA, AND L THROUGH STRUCTURED GOTHIC FASHION.

MAYLA releases a new Death Note collaboration focused on refined character apparel. The Death Note Iconic Skirt collection introduces three models inspired by Light Yagami, Misa Amane, and L.

Each skirt combines structured fabric with a sheer tulle overlay. The layered construction softens the character graphics, creating a darker, more subtle visual approach than typical anime merchandise.

The result reads closer to contemporary gothic fashion than cosplay.

SHEER TULLE AND DRAPED CONSTRUCTION DEFINE THE DESIGN

The skirts feature a layered structure with printed base fabric covered by semi-transparent tulle.

This overlay mutes the character artwork beneath it. The draping allows the graphics to shift slightly as the garment moves, creating a restrained visual effect rather than a direct print.

Additional artwork appears on the back panels. Characters closely tied to the main figures, Shinigami Ryuk and Rem, are illustrated in positions partially hidden by the fabric folds.

Their eyes remain obscured in most positions. The illustrations only become visible as the skirt moves.

LIGHT YAGAMI MODEL

The Light Yagami version arrives in black.

The darker color palette reflects the series’ central antihero and the tone of the story’s later arcs. Character artwork appears beneath the tulle layer, maintaining the subdued graphic approach used across the collection.

MISA AMANE MODEL

The Misa Amane design arrives in purple.

The color direction references Misa’s gothic fashion influences throughout the series. The layered construction adds movement while keeping the overall silhouette structured.

L MODEL

The L model arrives in white.

The lighter palette contrasts with the darker designs in the collection. The minimalist color direction reflects the character’s understated presence within the series.
