The renowned DJ and producer brought the some heat to New York Fashion Week with a vibrant new collaboration: Dim Mak x One Piece. Partnering with Toei Animation, Aoki presented the Spring/Summer 2025 collection on September 9th, 2024, at Artechhouse—a runway experience that left no detail untouched.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the legendary anime series One Piece, the collection pays homage to Eiichiro Oda’s iconic world, particularly the Egghead arc. From the moment the show began, it was clear: this was not your typical runway. Aoki transformed the space into a fully immersive experience, fusing high fashion with the fantastical elements of One Piece, bringing its universe to life.

The Dim Mak x One Piece collection is a bold, fearless representation of street style at its best. Inspired by the island of Vegapunk, the color palette popped with bright, unapologetic hues—think electric oranges, deep blues, and striking yellows, all echoing the energy of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crew. The pieces drew heavily on the personalities and spirit of the characters, making the collection as playful as it was rebellious.

“This collaboration between Dim Mak and One Piece is a dream come true,” Aoki shared. “It’s a mashup of everything I love—fashion, music, and anime—all in one. As a huge fan of One Piece and Luffy, I’m super inspired by his drive, his fearless spirit, and how he turns obstacles into opportunities. This partnership is all about celebrating that energy with bold, dynamic fashion that captures the vibe of One Piece while repping the street style that Dim Mak is all about.”

The casting was just as dynamic, featuring stars like Olympian Noah Lyles and Jamaican track & field athlete Junelle Bromfield, who embodied the fierce energy of the collection as they strutted down the runway. A diverse group of models made sure this collection felt universal, a fitting tribute to One Piece’s global fanbase.

This collection is also a departure from Dim Mak’s usual lineup of graphic tees—offering a more elevated take on anime streetwear. However, while the clothes undoubtedly impressed, there was a small longing from fans to see more of One Piece’s aesthetic represented on the runway itself. But Aoki’s focus on integrating anime into high fashion signals an exciting new direction for Dim Mak, one that’s sure to push boundaries in the seasons to come.

Missed the show? Stay tuned for the drop—it’s one you won’t want to miss. Keep your eyes on Dim Mak’s socials for updates, because trust us, these pieces are destined to fly off the shelves.
